CBT is a practical problem solving approach that focusses on your problems in the here and now by identifying thoughts and behaviours that are affecting your life and which may be maintaining your problems. CBT will take account of all of your past experiences but does focus on change in the present. CBT helps you to change the way you think and behave to improve the way you feel. CBT is adaptable and treats many disorders ranging from depression and anxiety to trauma and phobias.
