An exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Counsellor with substantial experience of providing counselling interventions with both individuals and couples has arisen due to continued expansion of our services. Trent PTS is the largest IAPT provider across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We have an excellent track record of delivering evidence based psychological therapies as part of the local IAPT provision. We provide a high-quality, professional and tailored service to people with anxiety and depressive disorders, offering a wider range of treatment choices and easy-access to effective and evidence based psychological therapies.

Due to our on-going expansion, we are recruiting a full-time Primary Care Counsellor to join our Long Eaton Team. This post is an opportunity for a full time Accredited Counsellor to join a dynamic team of psychotherapists in delivering IAPT services to our clients in Long Eaton.

The post is open to suitably qualified Counsellors currently accredited or holding an accreditable qualification with extensive experience of delivering high quality Primary Care mental health interventions and proven experience in delivering therapy to couples. You will also be expected to provide supervision to counsellors across the area as appropriate. It is essential that you can conduct high-quality primary care assessments as well as being able to formulate, plan and monitor effective treatment plans for clients with a broad range of common mental health problems with a focus on rehabilitation and patient autonomy.

As an organisation, we invest in our staff to make sure they can continue offering excellent clinical services. This includes accredited supervision courses, specific supplementary clinical trainings such as EMDR and behavioural couples training and ISTDP as well as a variety of clinical skills trainings such as with complex presentations and long-term conditions.

All staff are expected to offer at least one evening clinic, working 12.00 noon to 8pm.
