Clinical Team Leader – Belper

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Leader to lead on the delivery of Trent PTS’ Primary Care Psychological Therapy Team in Belper. Trent PTS is the largest IAPT provider across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We have an excellent track record of delivering evidence based psychological therapies as part of the local IAPT provision. We provide a high-quality, professional and tailored service to people with anxiety and depressive disorders, offering a wider range of treatment choices and easy-access to effective and evidence based psychological therapies.

Due to our on-going expansion, we are recruiting a senior accredited CBT or Counselling practitioner to lead this team. This post is an opportunity for a full time practitioner to join a dynamic team of psychotherapists in delivering stepped care IAPT services in the area.

The post is open to all accredited CBT or Counsellors with extensive experience of delivering Primary Care Psychological therapy and of providing clinical leadership, case management and clinical supervision. If you are an engaging, committed and professional therapist you could work for Trent PTS and help us to continue to provide psychological interventions as part of the National IAPT program within the stepped care model. It is essential that you can conduct high-quality primary care assessments as well as being able to formulate, plan and monitor effective treatment plans for clients with a broad range of common mental health problems with a focus on rehabilitation and patient autonomy.

You will be a highly motivated experienced professional who has proven leadership skills and who can demonstrate an excellent understanding of IAPT working across all delivery platforms. You will join the operational management team of High Intensity Team Leaders, Senior Employment Advisor and Business Relationship Co-ordinator under the direction of the Locality Service Manager.

As an organisation, we invest in our staff to make sure they can continue offering excellent clinical services. This means that we provide outstanding clinical supervision and CPD to meet requirements of continued accreditation. Trent PTS offers a wide range of clinical skills training using internal expertise, external trainers and established post-graduate university courses to ensure that all staff can access a high level of continued professional development opportunities. This includes accredited supervision courses, specific supplementary clinical trainings such as EMDR, behavioural couples and STDP as well as a variety of clinical skills trainings such as psychosexual practice, working with complex presentations and long-term conditions.

Salary: AFC Band 8a Pay Point 33-38 £44,606 – £50,819 (dependent on experience)

All staff are expected to offer an evening clinic on a Tuesday, working 12.00 noon to 8pm.

In addition to ensuring our employees feel valued, appreciated and supported, we offer:

  • A competitive salary with regular pay reviews in line with Agenda for Change.
  • Eligibility to join the NHS Pension Scheme
  • Generous holiday entitlement of 27 annual leave days rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service and 33 days after 10 years’ service, plus bank holidays
  • Recognition of NHS and IAPT length of service relating to annual leave entitlement
  • Investment in training to support and develop you
