Trent PTS provides NHS psychological services (IAPT) across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. We have ambitious plans to expand our teams to meet continued demand. We currently have teams throughout Derbyshire who work in dedicated psychotherapy centres providing all IAPT approved treatment modalities and are closely aligned to GP practices and university health services and the Matlock office is part of this expansion.

Matlock is situated in the beautiful South East Peak district, close to scenic Matlock Bath and the award winning Heights of Abraham Hill Top Park and the famous Caverns. Matlock is serviced by good road and rail links to Chesterfield, Derby, Sheffield, and Nottingham with Manchester within commuting distance.  Matlock is approximately 8 miles from the famous market town of Bakewell and the stunning Chatsworth Estate. The Matlock office is located in the heart of the town, in a beautiful period building 5 minutes’ walk from the railway station.

These will be new teams drawn together from existing staff and new staff that we now wish to recruit. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team establishing its presence within the surrounding community but also supporting a wider catchment area through digital technologies and skype type interventions. All therapists have a dedicated room.

Trent PTS is singularly focused on achieving remarkable outcomes for our local populations. We are an organisation that is dynamic and agile and dedicated to making our staff reach and exceed their potential. We have an active continuing professional development programme that we are reviewing and are keen to further increase its emphasis on clinical skills development. Clinical supervision and supervisor groups are at the centre of our clinical governance process, along with partnership developments and creating pathways for vulnerable populations. In the near future we will be developing a leadership programme. As a company we are focused on psychological care, four out of six of our board have a psychological therapies background. We care about the profession and are dedicated to advancing practice.

We have posts for Interpersonal CBT therapists across the service but Matlock might be of interest to those looking to work in a rural setting with an established community. If you want to know more, contact Eve Wicks, Clinical Services Manager on
