Why choose us?
We offer a variety of types of support as everyone’s needs and preferences are different. You can access the services directly through us or ask your GP to refer you. If you are already receiving support from other mental health services, this service may not be suitable.
Our recovery rates for anxiety and depression compare very well with other services in the region.
How do I access the service?
Our services are available for any adult of working age who is registered with a GP Practice in the Derbyshire area. To access an appointment we require a referral. You can refer yourself to us by telephone, on-line self-referral form or fax (see contacts). Otherwise, following a consultation with your GP they can refer you to our services on your behalf.
What happens at the first meeting?
The first meeting will be to discuss the range of options available to you. The therapist will ask questions about your difficulties to help them offer the appropriate treatment choice. They will do their very best to answer any questions you may have – it may be helpful to make a list of these beforehand. This appointment will last a maximum of 1 hour.
Are meetings confidential?
Yes, all personal information is treated confidentially, although we will need to share some information with your GP and possibly other health care professionals. This is to ensure we provide you with a complete and effective service and is particularly important if there is information which would help to prevent you from harming yourself or someone else.
